This is also possible to have FMS with CNC turning centers alike to the CNC machining center arrangements that were illustrated above. For this reason, it is essential to have a material handling unit that is a robot integrated in some form with the turning centre. One such arrangement is illustrated in Figure 8 where the robot is in a gantry fashion shall transfer the parts from a pallet kept on the left side of the machine to the chuck.
