Process of Winged-Edge:

each edge, the following information are significant:

(i)  vertices of this edge,

(ii) its left and right faces,

(iii) the predecessor and successor of this edge while traversing its left face, and

(iv) the predecessor and successor of this edge while traversing its right face. The Edge Table

Each entry in the edge table have those information indicated earlier, edge name, begin vertex and left face, end vertex,  & right face, the predecessor and successor edges while traversing its left face, and the predecessor & successor edges whereas traversing its right face. Note down that clockwise ordering (viewing from outside of the polyhedron) is utilized for traverse. Note down also that the direction of edge a is from X to Y. If the direction is modified to from Y to X, all entries however the first one in the following table should be changed accordingly.
