Principle of Design of Accelerometer:
When the frequency is very large than ω / ωn < < 1 in that case
or Z ∝ ω2 y0 here ωn is constant
or Z ∝ Acceleration
the value of 'Z' in this case shall correspond to the acceleration. To have high natural frequency of the transducer mass is extremely low if may have spring of high stiffness. A stiff spring contains extremely small size. Hence, accelerometers are extremely small in size and signal may be integrated to obtain displacement and velocity. Because of this reason accelerometers are extremely widely utilized for measuring mechanical systems.
