Standard Process Plan Archival

Based on the similarity comparisons between the new part specifications (See 'Parts Specification Module' above) and the standard parts data, the CAPP system archives the stored standard process plan and Time/Cost data for use. Mechanisms are often provided by CAPP systems to store actual Time/Cost data as a feedback from shops. This is used to calculate correction factors for the estimated values.

Given figure shows typical correction factor curves for weight and time estimation. The corrected estimates are used in the preparation of tenders and quotations.
