Password

Password is a series of letters and digits which is used to verify if the user is permited to use the user_id. Initially, the password is supplied through the system administrator. Later the user can modify it to some secret key. That is password which identifies the authorised users of a system.

After the valid username and password have been entered, the # prompt is shown on the screen. The # prompt denotes in which the UNIX system is ready to accept commands.
