Data Server

A data server is data oriented and used only for management and data storage, as described in Figure a data server is used in conjunction with a compute server and should be used through more than one compute server. The data server does not perform any application logic processing. These processing done on a data server is rule based procedures, like as data validation, needed as part of the data management function.

Data  servers  performs  multiple  searches  by  huge  amounts  of  data  and  frequently update massive tables.  These tasks needs fast processors, huge amounts of memory and substantial hard disk capacity.  Therefore, for the most part, these computers send associatively small amounts of data across the network.
