Steel Scaffolding

Steel scaffolding is practically same to timber scaffolding except in which steel tubes replace wooden members and rope lashings are replaced through steel couplets or fittings. Such scaffolding could be erected and dismantled rapidly. It has greater strength, greater durability and higher fire resistance. By its initial cost is more but its salvage value is higher. It is extensively used these days. Figure 22 shows steel scaffolding both for brick wall as well as stone wall.
