Complex Formation Titrations:
Both metal electrodes and a membrane electrodes could be used to detect end point within reactions that included formation of a soluble complex. A mercury (Hg) electrode given in Figure is particularly useful for EDTA titrations. That will function as an denoted electrode for a titration of cations creating complexes that are less stable than HgY2¯ .
