Angle Milling Cutters

The angle milling cutters are used for cutting of chamfers, dovetails, V-notches, helical flutes and serrations.

They are made in the following types:

 (1) Single-angle Milling Cutters have teeth on both the angled periphery and the vertical side face. These are made with angles of 30^o, 45^o and 60^o to 85^o in steps of 5^o, with one side of the angle at 90^o to the axis of the cutter. It is particularly suitable for producing straight tooth milling cutters and reamers.

 (2) Double-angle Cutters have teeth on both angled surfaces, forming V-shaped cutting edge. Double-angle cutters usually have included angles of 45^o, 60^o and 90^o. They are particularly adapted for cutting spiral grooves on a blank.
