Cross flow:
Cross flow, as elaborates in below figure, exists while one fluid flows perpendicular to the second fluid; which is, one fluid flows by tubes and the second fluid passes around the tubes at 90° angle. It heat exchangers are commonly found within applications whereas one of the fluids changes state (2-phase flow). An instance is a steam system's condenser, in that the steam exiting the turbine enters the condenser shell side and the cool water flowing within the tubes absorbs the heat from the steam, condensing it into water. A Large volume of vapor might be condensed using these categories of heat exchanger flow.
