Pull Systems:
The central aim of pull system is to drop off the inventory level in all of possible stages of the production procedure. Here, the requirements of next stage production are determined by the production procedure that is going place at the next level. Products moved from the upstream stage of production to downstream of production with little accumulation of inventory. Therefore, in pull system, raw-materials and unfinished parts are pulled from their storage for their ultimate processing. This pull system is well known as just-in-time (JIT) manufacturing. In JIT manufacturing the managers are greatly involved to solve the shop-floor problems. Exact arrival time of the parts, quality production and low inventory are some characteristics of JIT manufacturing. In JIT manufacturing all the problems are solved at the spot whenever they arise. This way the production procedure does not interrupted by these factors.
