Spiral Cams:
These cams are also built from thicker plates & spiral groove is cut on the face. The spiral groove can consist of teeth that mesh along a pin gear on the follower.
This cam is illustrated in given figure. The cam needs to reverse the direction to reset the position of the follower. It is utilized in computers.
