Cylindrical Cams:
Cylindrical cams are also called barrel or drum cams. This kind of cam contains a circumferential contour cut on cylindrical surface. It rotates around its axis. The follower might have translatory or oscillatory motion. This cam is illustrated in Figures (a) and (b).
