Refrigerated Railway Cars:

Most of the refrigerated railway cars utilized ice bunkers along water ice or ice-and-salt mixture. The recharging of ice is needed at intermediate stations on the route. Currently, the mechanical-refrigeration system is being progressively adopted. This is provided having an independent diesel-generator locate so that refrigeration is independent of the car movement. The ordinary generator capacity is 20 kW.
