Q:      Find out the peak load voltage for the circuit indicated in the diagram.

SOLUTION:

The transformer is indicated to contain a 25V_ac rating .This value of V₂ is modified into peak form like

                                                             V₂(pk) = V₂rms/0.707   = 25V_rms/0.707

                                                                          = 35.36Vpk

                        The value of V_pk is now found like

                                                V_L(pk) = V₂(pk) - 0.7

                                                           = 35.36 - 0.7 = 34.66Vpk
