Chronic poisoning:

Chronic poisoning is characterized through absorption of a harmful material within small doses over a long period of time; every dose, if taken alone, would barely be effectual.  Within chronic poisoning, a harmful material remains within the tissues, continually injuring a body procedure.  The symptoms in chronic poisoning are commonly different from the symptoms seen in acute poisoning through the similar toxic agent.
