• To maximise overall plant efficiency.
• To maximise overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), that is availability, performance & output.
• To attain zero defect.
• To attain zero breakdown.
• To attain total involvement, i.e. participation of all departments and sections, including planning, purchase and user of the equipment (that means the production department).
• To improve the overall general environment and working conditions of the plant.
• To boost the morale of the employees by inculcating the sense of pride in them.
