Angle Plate

An angle plate is a precision tool comprising L-shape. It is made up of cast iron or hardened steel, machined to a correct angle of 90° with all working surfaces and edges ground. Angle plate is employed to hold the work-piece parallel and at right angle to the surface. C-clamp is commonly used to fasten the work-piece with an angle plate. Slots and tapered holes are provided along with some angle plate for clamping the work-piece.

Parallels

Parallels are utilized in layout operation for raising the work-piece to an appropriate height. It gives a solid seat for work-piece. The work surface is held parallel to top of the surface plate through using the parallel.
