Tool Storage Policy 1

The tool magazine of every three identical machines is loaded with six different types of tools as displayed in Diagram. This tool storage police have some benefits and drawbacks.

Advantages

1. A backup set of tool is available.

2. A backup machine is available.

3. The tool handling system is simple.

Disadvantages

1. Much More than one set of identical tools is needed.

2. Similar NC program are stored in more than one machine.

3. Tool magazine capacity need is high.
