Specific Volume
The specific volume (i.e., ν) of a substance is the total volume (i.e., V) of that substance divided by the total mass (m) of that substance (i.e., volume per unit mass). It has units of cubic feet per pound-mass (ft3/lbm).

ν = specific volume (ft3/lbm)
V = volume (ft3)
m = mass (lbm)
