Chain Dimensioning:

Chains of single dimensions must be used only whereas the possible accumulation of letters does not impinge on the functional needs of the part.

Dimensioning from a Common Features

This process of dimensioning is utilized where a number of dimensions of the similar direction relate to a universal origin. Dimensioning from a general feature may be executed like parallel dimensioning or as superimposed running dimensioning.
