System Load and Performance

The system administrator monitors the system load and performance. This is yet another field where anticipation and planning become inevitable.

The system administrator should hold out daily monitoring of usage statistics, especially systems with those users interact regularly and on mission - critical systems. These statistics can be collected by using automated scripts. CPU utilization, Disk usage, swap, and memory are to be monitored regularly.
