Dimensional Synthesis:

It deals along the determination of actual dimensions of the mechanism to satisfy the specified motion characteristics. There are various types of mechanisms that are being utilized in our daily life. All of them may not be covered at this stage. We will limit our conversation to four bar kinematic chain and slider crank mechanism. In mostly of cases, you can find that either they are utilized as it is or having some modifications. In some cases, a mechanism, that is combination of these two are being utilized. The process discussed in this section may be extended to these combined mechanisms.
