Classification According to Line of Movement:

The line of movement can lie anywhere in the plane of motion.

 Radial Follower       

If the line of movement of the follower passes by the centre of rotation of the cam, the follower is known as radial follower.

Offset Follower

If the line of movement of the follower does not pass through the centre of the cam, they are separated by a distance known as offset. These kinds of follower is known as offset follower.
