Development of a Cube:

The cube is regular polyhedra having of six equal faces, each a square.

Procedure

(a) Sketch the elevation and plan of a cube resting on its base in HP along with two of its vertical faces parallel to VP as displayed in diagram (a).

(b) Mark the bottom and the top face like a, b, c, d and e, f, g, h, respectively, in plan and elevation.

(c) Notice there carefully the corners of the cube that are lettered. Develop the surface along the edges like EF, FG, GH, EH and DC to obtain the complete development of the cube like displayed in diagram (b).
