Under Shut Down State

It is a state of a plant, which comes into existence by stopping the production and shutting down the equipment for maintenance by preplanned agreement. The moment, the machine is shut down, it shall be handed over to the department of plant engineering and management.

Unlike the above two states like dead state and outage, it is the stoppage of machine intentionally and purposefully for maintenance and a considerable loss of production might take place and attributed to maintenance department. Though, this is an anticipated loss of production and therefore will be inclusive of the production plan with a due consideration.
