Risks associated with staff size and experience
The Boehm [BOE 89] suggests the following questions to assess risks related with experience and staff size:
- Are the best peoples available?
- Do the people have the correct combination of skills?
- Are sufficient people available?
- Are staff committed for full duration of the project?
- Will some project staff be working part time on this project?
- Does staff have the correct expectations about the job at hand?
- Has staff received needed training?
- Will turnover between staff be low enough to allow continuity?
If a majority answered "no" of the above questions further investigation should be undertaken to assess risk potential.
