SQA Activities

The Software quality assurance was comprised of a variety of tasks related with 2 different constituencies- the software engineers who do technical work and a SQA group which has responsibility for quality assurance planning over sight record keeping and reporting and analysis.

Software engineers address perform and quality assurance through applying solid technical measures and techniques, conducting formal technical reviews and performing well-planned software testing.

The charter of the SQA group is to support the software engineering team in achieving a high quality end product. The software Engineering Institute [PAU93] recommends a group of SQA activities which address quality assuring planning oversight. Record keeping, reporting and analysis it is these activities which are performed or facilitated through an independent SQA group.
