The ISO 9000 Quality Standards
The Quality assurance system may be describe as the organizational structure processes, procedures, responsibilities and resources for implementing quality management [ANS87] ISO 9000 define quality assurance parts in generic terms which can be applied to any business regardless of the products or services offered.
To become recognized to one of the quality assurance system models contained in ISO 9000 an organization quality system and operations are scrutinized through 3rd party auditors for compliance to the standard and for effective operation. Upon successful registration, an organization is issued a certificate from a registration body represented through the auditors. The Semi annual surveillance audits ensure continued compliance to the standard.
