Software Scope
The determination of software scope is the first software project management activity. Scope is described through answering the following questions;
Context: how does the software to be built and fit into a larger product, system, or business context and what constraints are imposed for the result of the context?
Information objectives: what type of data objects are needed for input? And what customer visible data objects which are produced as output from the software?
Function and performance: Those are any special performance characteristics to be addressed? What function does the software perform to transform input data into output?

Software project scope must be understandable at management and technical levels and unambiguous. A statement of software scope must be bonded. That is a quantitative data for example size of mailing list, maximum allowable response time, number of simultaneous users, are begin explicitly constraints and\or limitations example for product cost restricts memory size are be noted and mitigating factors are described.
