MOI Model Leadership
What do we look for when we pick someone to lead a software project? In an excellent book of technical leadership Jerry Winberg [WEI86] give the answer of this question by suggesting the MOI Model leadership:
Motivation: motivation is a technique that has an ability to encourage technical people to produce to their best ability by push or pull.
Organization: Organization has an ability to mold existing processes or invent new ones which will enable the initial concept to be translated into the final product.
Ideas or innovation: this has ability to encourage people to build and feel creative even when they must work within bounds develop for a particular software product or application.
Weinberg suggests which successful project leaders apply a problem solving management style. That is a software project manager will be concentrate on understanding the problem to solved it, managing the flow of the ideas and at the similar time letting everyone on the team know by words and far more important, by actions that excellence counts and which will not be compromised.
