In the year of 1970s less than 1 % of the public could have intelligently described what exactly "computer software meant. In the present time most of the professionals and many member of the public at huge feel that they understand software. But the question is do they?

A textbook description of software might take the following form like Software is an instruction (computer programs) that when executed give desired function and performance and it is a data structure that enables the programs to adequately manipulate information and it's a document that describe the operation and use of the programs. Other more complete definitions could be offered. But we want more than a formal definition.
