The machine is excited by a harmonic force along amplitude 500 N and frequency is 200 rpm. Find the amplitude of vibration of the machine for k = 0.5 × 106 N/m. Neglect damping.

It is given that
Fo = 500 N
Total stiffness = 4k = 4 × 0.5 × 106 = 2.0 × 106 N/m
Mass = 1000 kg
∴ ω= (2π 200)/60 = 20.94 r/s
X = 0.32 mm
