Secondary Operations
Secondary operations are likely to occur throughout the sequence. The position of these operations in the sequence is dictated by logic rather than specific rule. For example, the sequence of drilling is followed by reaming, turning by threading or milling by grinding is all determined by the practical considerations. However, some operations may be independent from others and can be placed into the sequence where most convenient.
For example, a hole drilled for lubrication or a surface machined to provide for a stamped part number might easily fall into this category. Secondary operations are less critical in nature.
