Applications:

Gas chromatography has numerous applications. It is used for both qualitative and quantitative analysis. Before discussing applications, it should be clear in mind in which the column in a gas chromatograph is a separating tool. But the gas chromatograph as an entire with a detector and a recorder provides the information about the eluting bands. Therefore, the instrument gives both qualitative and quantitative information about the elements of a sample. The conversation under this section will be taken up under three heads
