Material Handling Applications
Material handling applications are those in which the robot moves the materials or parts from one place to another. The robot is equipped along with a gripper type of end-effectors to accomplish this kind of transfer. The gripper ought to be designed to handle the specific part or parts that are to be moved. In this application category are the following cases which are following
1. Material transfer, and
2. Machine loading/unloading.
In almost all of the material handling applications, the part should be presented to the robot in familiar position & orientation.
