First generation
According to Nakano, the first-generation robot is a simple mechanical arm without having AI. Such machines have ability to make precise motions at the high speed, many times, for the long time. They have found broad industrial application and have been around for over half a century. These are the fast-moving systems that install rivets and screws in assembly lines, which solder connections on printed circuits, and that, generally have taken over tedious, mind numbing chores which were used to be done by humans.
First generation robots can work in groups if actions of them are synchronized. The operation of these machines should be constantly watched, as if they get out of alignment and are allowed to keep operating anyway; the result is the series of bad production units. At worst, a misaligned and unsupervised robot may create havoc of a sort that you can barely begin to imagine even if you let your mind run wild
