Moisture Content:

The moisture content of the resins is determined in the usual manner by heating it at 110º- 115ºC overnight to constant weight. Therefore, various precautionary steps are essential in this exercise. For example, a few resins are thermally unstable in the hydrogen and hydroxyl form and thus, these should be converted to a stable form before oven drying. Samples that decompose at these temperatures are occasionally dried at room temperature over P₂O₅ for longer periods of time.
