Selection Process
The selection procedure is a series of steps through which applicants pass.
1. Preliminary Reception: Selection begins with a visit to the HRM office or with a written request for an application. If an applicant appears in person, an unprepared preliminary interview can be granted as a courtesy, easily as a matter of good public relations.
2. Employment Tests: Employment tests are devices that assess the difficulty match between applicants and job requirements. While tests are used for these positions, however, they frequently are a simulation of real-life situations.
- Test Validation: For a test to be relied upon, it might be valid. Validity refers that the test scores have an important correlation to job performance or to some other related criterion.
- Testing Tools: There is a broad variety of employment tests. But each kind of test has only restricted usefulness. The exact reason of a test, its direction, its design for administration and its applications are recorded in the test manual, which might be reviewed before a test is utilized.
