Working with LOV objects
What Are LOVs and Editors?
Lists of Values (LOV) and editors are objects in a form module in which each opens their own window when activated at run time. They are described at the form level that means you could use them to support text items in any block of the form module.
LOVs
An LOV is a scrollable pop-up window which provides a user with a simple mechanism to pick the value of an item from a multicolumn dynamic list. The user can decrease the lines displayed in the list through simple automatic reduction techniques, or through find strings.
Every line in an LOV can present various field values along with column headings over. You can design your LOV to retrieve some or all of the field values from the line chosen through the user and place them into form variables or items.
