Oil Contamination:

The presence of vegetable/animal oils has been observed as detrimental effects on the strength of concrete particularly at later stage. The presence of mineral oil in water affects the strength depending upon their concentration. For instance, along with the concentration of oil up to 2 percent, the important increase in the strength of concrete has been observed while for more than 8 percent of mineral oils the slight reduction in strength has been noticed.
