Cyclic Voltammetry:
Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) is an attractive method for the teaching of a number of concepts in electrochemistry. Within brief, it is perhaps the most versatile electrochemical methods for the study of electroactive species. The efficiency of CV results from its capability for rapidly observing the redox behaviour over a wide range of potential. The resulting voltammogram is similar to a conventional spectrum in that it conveys information as a function of an energy scan. Inside spite of its wide applications, this technique is not generally well understood as compared to other instrumental techniques such as spectroscopy and chromatography.
