Properties:
Alkenes and alkynes comprise physical properties identical to alkanes. They are comparatively nonpolar, dissolve in nonpolar solvents and are not extremely soluble in water. Only weak van der Waals interactions are probable among the unsaturated molecules like alkene and alkynes, and thus these structures comprises low boiling points compared to another functional groups.
