Types of Transfers

Transfers can be classified following:

Production transfers    : these are transfers caused because of changes in production.

Replacement transfers : these are transfers caused because of replacement of an employee working on the similar job for a long time.

Rotation transfers       : these are transfers done to increase the versatility of employees.

Shift transfers            : these are transfers of an employee from one shift to another.

Remedial transfers       : these are transfers done to correct the wrong placements.

Penal transfers           :  these are transfers done as a punishment for indisciplinary activity of employees.
