The Role of the Sales Force
Personal selling is the interpersonal arm of the promotion mix. Sales people represent their company to the customer and act as an intermediate linking the customer to the company.
Salespeople
Salespeople work for a company and perform one of more of the following task: communicating with potential and present customers; prospecting of new business; servicing customers and information gathering. Sales positions range from: taking orders; delivering product; building goodwill; or educating customers; positions where technical knowledge is needed; and creative selling.
