Alcohols and alkyl halides:
Alcohols and alkyl halides can as well be described as being primary, secondary, or tertiary. Though, the definition depends upon the carbon to which the alcohol or halide is related and it ignores the bond to the functional group. So, quaternary alcohols or alkyl halides are not probable.
