Junctions of the Wall and Floor

The junctions of walls and the floors need special attention to ensure effectual soil treatment. It is significant to establish vertical continuity of the poisoned soil barrier on inner wall surface up to top of consolidated earth filling within plinth. This is achieved through making 30 mm wide and 30 mm deep channels at the junction of walls and columns along with the earth filling in plinth. Holes are thereafter made in the channel at 150 mm apart up to ground level and then chemical emulsion is poured within the channel by the rate of 7.5 liters per square meter of the vertical column or wall surface. After the treatment the earth should be instantly tamped back within the holes and channel.
