Position Indication Circuitry:

Valve position circuitry gives control and indication functions.

STATE the two environmental concerns that could affect the accuracy and reliability of position indication equipment.

As elaborates above, position detection devices give a method to determine the position of a valve or control rod. The four categories of position indicators discussed were limit reed switches, switches, potentiometer valve position indicators, and LVDTs display in above figure. Reed and limit switches act as ON/OFF indicators to give open and closed indications and control functions. Reed switches could also be used to give coarse, incremental position indication.
