SUMMARY

A substance capable of holding materials together by surface attachment is known ‘Adhesives’. There are four kinds of adhesives: thermosetting, thermoplastic, elastomeric and adhesive alloys. In fact adhesives come under two major groups of adhesives – structural adhesive and non-structural adhesive. The factors of influencing the selection of adhesives are adhesive substrates, assembly requirements, service requirements, and cost requirements. Different types of environments effecting the adhesives and also different types of application of adhesives.

A group of materials while heated may be formed into a variety of useful articles, casting or extrusion are known as plastic. Two kinds of plastics are classified – thermoplastic and thermosetting plastic. The different kinds of moulding constituents of a plastic and also the different processing plastic that means moulding, calendering, casting thermoforming and fabricating procedure. Laminating plastic is a variety of materials bonded together by heat and pressure to form a single piece. Reinforced plastic moulding is those that require much lower pressure than that required for high pressure laminates. One of the significant considerations of plastic is the design process.
