Series Voltage Dividers

  1. The current is similar in all of resistances in a series circuit.
  2. Also, the voltage drop is equivalent to the product IR.
  3. Hence, IR voltages are proportional to series resistances.
  4. A higher resistance contain a greater IR voltage than a lower resistance in similar series circuit; equivalent resistances have the similar amount of IR drop across each of resistance.
  5. If R1 is double of R2 then V1 will be double of V2
  6. The series string might be considered like a voltage divider.
  7. Each of resistance gives an IR drop V equivalent to its proportional part of the applied voltage. Described by formula,

                                                            V=R/RT x VT
